Daytime Emmys Nominees 2010

Nominations for the 37th annual Daytime Emmy Awards have been released. According to Trade magazine variety, PBS leads all networks with 53 bids, followed by 51 for ABC and 45 for CBS. Agnes Nixon, creator of venerable soaps "All My Children" and "One Life to Live," will receive the lifetime achievement award.

The Daytime Emmys will take place June 27 and, for the first time, be held in Las Vegas. The telecast will air on CBS.


ABC soap "General Hospital" led all shows with 18 nominations. Also competing for the top drama prize are "The Bold and the Beautiful," "The Young and the Restless" and "All My Children."

"The Young and the Restless" has 16 nominations, "Sesame Street" has 14 and "One Life to Live" has 13.


Among the talk show competitors, "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" fared best with eight.

"The View" scored five - including an Outstanding Talk Show Host nomination for hosts Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Elisabeth Hasselbeck, Sherri Shepherd and Barbara Walters. "The Oprah Winfrey Show" scored four nominations for the TV legend's popular program.
