The clock is ticking on Shark Week 2010 on Discovery Channel and the mystery of the question of "Who wrote the Dead Sea Scrolls?" gets another look at Nat Geo. Follow both cable TV items below.
Is the mystery solved? The documentary Writing the Dead Sea Scrolls will air Tuesday night at 9 p.m. ET/PT on the National Geographic Channel and explain some of the newest information and theories bandied about by researchers.
"Jews wrote the Scrolls, but it may not have been just one specific group. It could have been groups of different Jews," said Robert Cargill, an archaeologist who appears on the show.
Expect plenty of debate on that theory said Lawrence Schiffman, a professor of Hebrew and Judaic Studies at New York University (NYU).
The network has more details on the scrolls and information the upcoming show.
