John Mayer has a little twitter thing going with Demi Lovato and the young Disney star is really on a roll and it is not just playing around with Jennifer Aniston's ex. According to All Headline News, Lovato will tour with former American idol runner up David Archuleta. That seems like a pretty good fit that should keep fans of both quite entertained.

In more American idol news and notes, remember that whole flu bug that was being passed all over between the contestants a few weeks back? Mike Walker of the National Enquirer reports that the show really did all they could to keep everyone ready to perform.


He writes, "Frantic producers trying to fight off the raging flu attack at American Idol went to incredible lengths - even beyond those surgical masks you say contestants wearing backstage - to keep the set germ-free and singers singing. They actually hired a young woman to walk around carrying a tray with plastic beverage containers imprinted with everyone’s name, complete with personal plastic straws."

The veteran gossip adds that the instructions were to "NEVER, EVER drink from anything but your labeled bottle, contestants were warned. Bottle Gal even carried Clorox wipes, swabbing down microphones whenever they were touched. Just like in a hospital, bottles of disinfectant hand sanitizer were everywhere, and contestants had to disinfect after touching anything." Hey - the show must go on.
