Did X-Factor 2012 judge Demi Lovato use One Direction's Niall Horan to make Wilmer Valderrama jealous, so she can possibly get back with her ex?

Demi 20, and Niall, 18 had a date night after the MTV VMAs last week in Los Angeles, starting their night at the Pink Taco restaurant.

According to one report, after dinner, the pair - who dated in 2010 for several months - went back to Demi's nearby home.

But now reports claim Demi is already desperately trying to get Wilmer back.

The 20-year-old 'X Factor' judge is reportedly still in love with the 32-year-old actor.

A source told HollywoodLife.com last week on Wilmer and Demi:

''They are not officially dating but it's only a matter of time. They really have always liked each other, still have tons of respect for each other, and are still in love. They definitely have a thing for each other and act on it from time to time. But to say they are officially an item would not be the case at this time.''
