Nicole Richie is in shock according to a report from Us Weekly Magazine. The actress and new mom was said to be stunned at the devastating news that after her ex fiancé DJ AM (Adam Goldstein) and pal Travis Barker were involved in a fatal plane crash. "She wishes only the best for Adam and hopes he recovers from this," a pal tells Us Magazine.com. "She's horribly upset about the people who died."

Another report from the weekly entertainment magazine's website details that DJ AM "was completely terrified and traumatized" after the accident. He was able to call his mother while he was in the ambulance. He is now in a doctor-induced coma so that the medical staff can perform the skin grafts he needs.


Showbiz Spy reports DJ AM has been left "really, really badly burned." A source tells E! News that AM's "face is very burned" and "more than 50 percent of his body is burned and the worst is on his face." His girlfriend Katie Davis is on her way to see him as he is hospitalized in Atlanta. Photos of the crash are here.

Also Travis Barker's ex-wife Shanna Moakler (the two remain close) is said to be on her way as well and is stunned at the news. She is said to be "devastated and in total shock. It just hit her," another source tells Us magazine. The pal says she is hopping in a plane to be by his side. Says the source: "Shanna is freaking and in panic mode right now."
