Who are the celebrities who are giving cash to Elizabeth Warren?

Warren is running for the open US senate seat in Massachusetts, but has been unable to pull ahead of incumbent Scott Brown.

Warren is a liberal Democrat. Brown is a moderate Republican.

She has Hollywood on her side, according to the Boston Herald she has pulled in donations from singer Barbra Streisand and DreamWorks CEO Jeffery Katzenberg.

The paper also notes that Matt Damon and his wife, Luciana, gave a total of $10,000 to Warren, while Ben Affleck and his wife, actress Jennifer Garner, also gave $10,000.

The paper reports:

"Other $5,000 donors to Warren included actress Susan Sarandon, Newton native John Krasinski of “The Office,” Zach Braff, formerly of “Scrubs,” and mega-movie star Edward Norton, while former “Spider-Man” Tobey Maguire contributed $2,500. Other A-list actors who gave to Warren include Sally Field, Kyra Sedgwick, Kate Capshaw and Heather Anne Thomas, the blonde bombshell who starred in the 1980s hit TV show, The Fall Guy."

Critics point out she may as well be representing Hollywood as more than 60 percent of her cash has come from outside Massachusetts, especially California.

Since entering the campaign last year, Warren has raised more than $24 million.

The Warren-Brown race is regarded as a toss-up according to the latest polls.
