What do Hollywood celebrities do with all of that money they make?

Many spend it, making extravagant purchases for themselves and their family members and spend part of the millions of dollars they have earned.

A TMZ report noted that just last month, celebrity mom Goldie Hawn "gifted one of her houses to her son, actor Oliver Hudson."

How cool is that?

The report revealed:

Goldie bought the house in October, 2009, and put both her name and Oliver's on the deed.

The house was purchased for $2.09 million. BTW, it's not exactly a starter home -- it's a really cool spread in Brentwood, CA ... 4,000 square feet, 4 bedrooms, etc.

Then on May 21, documents show Goldie filed a "Gift Deed" with the country, giving her son full title. The document specifically says Goldie got no money in return.

Oliver isn't exactly a pauper, he's a successful actor who currently stars on "Rules of Engagement" on CBS.

What are some of the most expensive and extravagant celebrity purchases?

Last July the 56,500 sq ft Spelling Manor fetched $85 million and was purchased by a socialite, 23-year-old Petra Ecclestone, heir to the Formula 1 racing fortune.

The French chateau-style property in Los Angeles was owned by Candy Spelling, wife of the late Aaron Spelling, the producer of hit TV shows including Charlie's Angels, Dynasty, The Love Boat and Fantasy Island.

Ecclestone will be moving into the mansion with her fiancé, businessman James Stunt, and their dogs.

Ecclestone paid cash for the home.

The house boasts 14 bedrooms, 27 bathrooms, a projection room, bar, oak-panelled library, office, billiards room, game room, two-lane bowling alley, wine cellar, tasting room, china room, gift-wrapping room, gym, barbershop, beauty salon and rooftop garden.

Cars, cars cars...

Kim Kardashian bought new boyfriend Kanye West a rare $750,000 car for his birthday this year.

The rapper - who turned 35 on June 8, 2012 - had the Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 purchased for him in Los Angeles, according to TMZ.com.

His answer...

He bought her mom an expensive car, though it cost "only" a reported $220,000.

An earlier report claimed West was so determined to impress Kim's mom Kris Jenner, who is also his girlfriend's manager, he has bombarded her with expensive gifts including the $200,000 Bentley in a bid to gain her approval.
