Is Kate Upton the latest famous single in Hollywood?

The buxom Sports Illustrated swimsuit model was thought to be dating Detroit Tigers' pitcher Justin Verlander, however she rejected that claim during an interview on Valentine's Day.

Now he has answered her on Twitter.

In an interview with FOX 2 Detroit on Thursday, Upton faced a lengthy and leading question about her "boyfriend Justin Verlander" from reporter Jason Carr.

According to a USA Today report, he first asked the curvy model if "there are any plans for any nuptials," making for an intense moment of "beautiful awkwardness."

"Actually, I'm single right now," she said, "so I spent my [Valentine's Day] in Melbourne, Fla."

The boyfriend responds…

Verlander tweeted the following Thursday evening:

"Happy Valentine's Day ladies."
