Halloween in Hollywood carries extra worries this year after a string of high profile burglaries. What are some wearing? Fall Out Boy star Pete Wentz said his son Bronx will probably go out as SpongeBob Squarepants this Halloween.

The 30-year-old singer is dad to 11-month-old son Bronx Mowgli with wife Ashlee Simpson-Wentz. He said: "Bronx is real big on SpongeBob [SquarePants], so I figure I can't be SpongeBob - so I'll go as [SpongeBob's starfish sidekick] Patrick. "I'll go as Patrick, which will be weird, because Patrick [Stump]'s in Fall Out Boy. "So it would be weird to be Patrick for a day. But it will be cool."


Minnie Driver will reprise the Steve Irwin Halloween costume - one of the most favoured Halloween costumes after the celebrity crocodile hunter's tragic death from a stingray attack - this Halloween. Her costume will take the form of a mother-son combination, marking her status as a new mother - of baby son Henry. The lithe British actress and singer-songwriter said she and Henry will hit the streets in the outfit.

She said, "My crocodile hat just arrived in the post. I got Henry a little blonde wig because he doesn't have much hair so he's gonna be Steve Irwin - may he rest in peace." Driver added: "I know I'll be making all the costumes and the scenery for the school plays."


Back to the security measures, thieves won't have a ghost of a chance this Halloween, if Paris Hilton has her way. The heiress and victim of the Hollywood Burglars gang has beefed up her home security system. Hilton had most of her jewelry returned from the theft, one of a string to strike terror into the hearts of young celebs in Tinseltown.

She told Radaronline: "I am grateful to the LAPD for getting some of my jewelry returned. But I am also very upset that these people went into my home and did this to me. It was so wrong and such an invasion or privacy."


The socialite added, "Since then I have upped my security majorly, I have 24-hour security guarding my home and cameras and alarms everywhere so this will never happen again."

Not that she will let evil-doers spoil her big weekend. She said: "Halloween is my favorite time of year so I always go all out. I am having a Halloween party with a haunted house theme. I'm also going to hit all the hottest Halloween parties this weekend. Also, I'm doing the Jimmy Kimmel show and we both are going to be dressed in our costumes."
