Hannah Montana is a popular ticket. Singer Miley Cyrus has allowed her Hannah Montana fan club to get members by giving people in her club the opportunity to buy tickets early for her unbelievably popular show. Pollstar has this - "Tickets for the Hannah Montana shows are selling out in minutes - and moms across the country are shouting "conspiracy" and pointing fingers at Ticketmaster, AEG - heck, anyone."

The New Jersey Star Ledger's Bev McCarron explains her frustration. "This was nothing like the ticket-buying marathons I remember from the '70s--slumber-party endurance tests where you lined up all night with giddy friends, she writes. "This was a tense, edge-of-your seat competition, requiring lightening-quick reflexes, sophisticated computer skills and the ability to follow byzantine rules of purchase."


It is a nightmare for moms and dads everywhere. She explains " I know all this because, for $30, I had to join the Hannah Montana Fan Club to get tickets five days before anyone else. We needed tickets for my three girls, ages 13 to 21, and eight friends. "The sale time was Tuesday at 10 a.m., not so great for working moms. But there I was at 9:59, fingers on the keys, as instructed by my daughters."

How sad has it become - It's so bad that the Kansas City council and Mayor Mark Funkhouser asked a representative for Ticketmaster to come to a meeting and explain why a Hannah Montana show at the new Sprint Center sold out as soon as it went on sale.


Of course there are always ticket brokers who always seem to have tickets where it is legal to do so. And eBay will get you some auction rate. But for now, parents are screaming conspiracy and kids are in tears.
