Harry Styles' has a list of beauties vying to be his next girlfriend with US country singer Taylor Swift working hard right now to move into that role.

Whoever catches Harry's eye gets a bonus for being his girlfriend - at least according to his mother.

Styles' mother thinks he is romantic.

The One Direction hunk - who has been linked with a string of high-profile females including Caroline Flack, Cara Delevingne and Natalie Imbruglia - does his best to help his mother Ann when she has had a bad day and she thinks these are traits that serve him well as a boyfriend.

He said: ''My mum tells me I'm a romantic because if she has a bad day at work, I run a bath for her when she gets home and cook dinner.''

While Harry - who is joined by Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik in One Direction - is close to his mother, she has stopped asking about his personal life because he is falsely linked with so many famous beauties.

He said: ''She's stopped asking me now. There have been so many cases where she's asked me and I've told her things just aren't true. So she just doesn't ask me any more.''
