Beyonce's Security Team Allegedly Covered Security Cameras at Hospital

Health officials have launched an investigation into allegations the blanket of security over the birth of Beyonce and Jay-Z's baby risked the safety of other newborn children at the hospital.

The singer and her rapper husband reportedly took over an entire maternity wing at New York's Lenox Hill Hospital on Saturday (07 Jan. 2012) while Beyonce gave birth to Blue Ivy.

Several patients alleged the stars' security team prevented them visiting their children, and reports suggested security cameras were covered over, putting other patients and newborn kids at risk.

The state Health Department received two complaints from members of the public on Wednesday (11 Jan. 2012), and officials confirmed they have now launched a probe.

A spokesman tells the New York Post, "We have gotten two complaints and we will investigate."
