Reality star Holly Madison has taken out a $1million insurance policy on her breasts.

The 31-year-old took out the policy with the Lloyd's of London insurance company to protect herself and others that appear in her Las Vegas production, Peepshow.

The former Girls Next Door star said: "I've heard about people getting body parts insured and I thought, why not?, because if anything happened to my boobs, I'd be out for a few months and I'd probably be out a million dollars...I thought that I'd cover my assets."

Holly can be seen topless during parts of the Las Vegas show, which she believes makes the insurance policy necessary.

She added to People.com: "I think it's kind of funny. I think they're getting the credit they deserve.

"They're my primary money makers right now."
