She has her own hit TV show with her series on CBS titled the "Ghost Whisperer" but a new report notes that Jennifer Love Hewitt is sad over the split with her one time husband to be, fiance' Ross McCall. The two split over the Christmas holiday not long after photos showing the celebrity couple appearing to argue were printed in the entertainment weeklies.

In more Hollywood Nights news on the celebrity set on the West Coast, new mom Ashlee Simpson-Wentz, who gave birth to son Bronx on November 20, has turned to her pal Nicole Richie for parenting tips, a report from In Touch details this week.


The story notes that Nicole, whose daughter, Harlow, celebrated her first birthday on January 11, gives her a unique perspective. "They are both party girls turned moms,” an insider explains. “Ashlee has an amazing connection with Nicole, and that’s why she’s relying on her.”

The weekly entertainment maagzine then notes that the insider adds that Ashlee even phoned Nicole early one morning when she couldn’t get Bronx to fall asleep. “She has been there for Ashlee since day one,” a pal says. “Nicole basically told her to call any time, day or night, if she needs some moral support or help.” Nicole and Ashlee have been spotted shopping together in LA, and in their holiday card, Ashlee and hubby Pete Wentz suggested that fans donate to Nicole’s and Joel’s Richie- Madden Children’s Foundation.
