Arkansas Razorbacks head football coach Bobby Petrino, 51, was fired this week after a motorcycle accident exposed an affair with a 25-year old female employee, the aforementioned and pictured Jessica Dorrell.

The school cited his lies and deception about the affair and his crash as the reason for the axe.

In 2012, the deception usually leaves a nice electronic paper trail of sorts and now it has been revealed that Petrino and his blonde girlfriend must have had unlimited texting plans on their cell phones as talk and text each other like teenagers.

USA Today reveals Petrino and Dorrell exchanged more than 4,300 text messages and nearly 300 phone calls over the past seven months.

4,357 texts and 307 calls to be exact.

The contact between the coach (he's married with four kids) and the girlfriend (she's engaged to another guy who also happens to work for the University of Arkansas) was "on game days, before dawn and even as the police report that hastened his downfall was being released to the public, according to a review of his business cellphone records by The Associated Press," the report added.

NBC highlights these:

1) An exchange of 91 texts between Petrino and Dorrell on Sept. 13, and 84 texts on Oct. 28, the day before a game at Vanderbilt.

2) An exchange of 73 text messages on Oct. 17.

3) In the week before Arkansas’ loss to Alabama, Petrino called Dorrell four days in a row — at 5:52 a.m., 6:35 a.m., 5:49 a.m. and 7:55 a.m., respectively.

4) Sept. 17, when Arkansas beat Troy, the two exchanged 70 texts.

How much money?

Petrino recently hired over Jessica Dorrell over 158 other applicants as "student-athlete development coordinator" at a $55,735 annual salary.

It was also reported that he had earlier handed $20,000 to his young lover as a "gift."

Jessica was hired into the football office on March 28, were together a “significant” amount of time, something the records confirm, dating from Sept. 12 to April 5, according to Arkansas 360.

The report notes that in firing the coach, athletic Director Jeff Long said that Petrino engaged in a pattern of “manipulative and misleading behavior” in hiring Dorrell and covering up her involvement in the crash.

“Coach Petrino knowingly misled the athletics department and the university about the circumstances related to his accident,” Long said. “He had multiple opportunities over a four-day period to be forthcoming with me. He chose not to.”
