Howard Stern is set for America's Got Talent season 7 and the new judge was in Downtown Los Angeles on Friday, and said viewers may be surprised at his discretion, according to NBC News.

The self-proclaimed King of All Media boasted: "I've taken more no-talents and made them talents."

"There is a way to sculpt people, to mentor people, and a way to find something that would tap into the national psyche."

Liz Brown of the Examiner has some funny quotes overheard at the first taping for this season, her are a few:

To gymnastic pole dancing team "Bi-Poler"(sic):

"I admire you trying, but I've spent a lot of time in strip clubs...I was named 'Perv of the Year' three times in a row...That [act] didn't have sex appeal."

To singing contestant Mike Thompson, before he started singing:

"You remind me of a Susan Boyle type."

After giving 6-year-old dancer Little BabyWockee "the buzzer":

"I just think Lil' Baby Wookie needs a couple more years...Give her time to be a kid...Baby Wookie, I'm on your side.
