The brave and adorable Christina Applegate stopped by the Ellen DeGeneres show for an October 10 interview with the daytime TV talk show host. Christina Applegate discusses her breast cancer diagnosis and treatment, as well as the new season of "Samantha Who" on the show with Ellen and she even revealed that after her double mastectomy that she was afraid to hug.

Christina Applegate also revealed to Ellen DeGeneres that she kept a secret from everyone on the set of her ABC sitcom Samantha Who about her breast cancer diagnosis for a full five weeks.


She said “I told my make-up and hair people, and people that are really close to me, just so I had a protection wall so that no one was pushing me. Joking, she added, “because they do that a lot on my set. They just shove me … just randomly for no reason.”

See the video published online here. After the surgeries, Applegate became wary of people hugging her, especially at the extra-huggy Stand Up to Cancer fund-raiser where she and DeGeneres recently bonded, reports the Seattle Post-Intelligencer. They would later hug.
