Silver Linings Playbook wins four Independent Spirit Awards in 2013.

The Indie Spirit Awards were held last night, see the full winners list for 2013 below.

The awards show was dominated by Silver Linings Playbook, the film earned four top trophies from the Independent Spirit Awards.

The dramatic comedy won best film and best screenplay, as well as best director for David O. Russell and best actress for Jennifer Lawrence.

The Independent Spirit Awards in Santa Monica, California, came on the eve of Hollywood's prestigious Academy Awards, where Silver Linings Playbook is nominated for eight Oscar statuettes.

Best Supporting Female Performance - Helen Hunt, The Sessions

Best Cinematography – Ben Richardson, Beasts of the Southern Wild

Best Screenplay – David O. Russell, Silver Linings Playbook

Best Documentary - The Invisible War

Best Director – David O. Russell, Silver Linings Playbook

Best Lead Female Performance – Jennifer Lawrence, Silver Linings Playbook

Best Lead Male Performance – John Hawkes, The Sessions
