Kim's boyfriend Kanye may be pulling into American Idol this season.

American idol may be close to inking Nicki Minaj as their next judge and already signed on judge Mariah Carey is reportedly furious with the choice.

What will she think now that she may be forced to share the stage with Kim Kardashian's new boyfriend Kanye West?

And how many viewers would watch the show?

TMZ reveals American Idol is looking to add West to a new stable of judges that have fans screaming "Jump the Shark!"

Other supposedly being sought by the show, are Keith Urban, Brad Paisley and Enrique Iglesias too, but West is the reported front runner.

Nick Jonas is also in the running to complete the line-up as original judge Randy Jackson may come off the panel and be given a job as a mentor to the contestants.

Is Nicky in?

Unless Mariah can throw a fit big enough to stop it, the show will have Nicki Minaj as one new 'American Idol' judge.

The 'Super Bass' singer is reportedly close to signing a deal.

One insider said: "I'm not sure the deal is completely done yet, but yes, she is definitely doing it. A few more slight things to sign off on but it is happening."

A second source added to Us Weekly magazine: "She is 100 per cent confirmed to judge 'American Idol'."

If she does join the show, Nicki will sit alongside Mariah on the panel, after the five-times Grammy-winning signer was announced as a judge last month.

The 'Hero' hitmaker reportedly signed an $18 million deal to join the show, following the departures of Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler.

She said of her role: "As a singer, songwriter and producer, it's going to be fun and rewarding to help find new talent and give back to 'American Idol'.

"I'm currently in the studio working on my new album and its first single, 'Triumphant', which will be out early next month. I can't wait to channel my creative energy as a part of this show which is a massive global phenomenon."
