Janet Jackson has confirmed reports she's split with long-term lover Jermaine Dupri. The 43-year-old singer admitted in a radio interview on the Bert Show that they are no longer together by referring to Dupri, 37, as her 'ex'. It has been reported that the couple split in July after eight years together.

She said: "I'm not the type of girl that stays in touch with your ex like that. Jermaine is one of my best friends. I love him to death. We're still connected."

She added, "We're still good friends. We still talk." The pair dated for seven years, but they finished following the death of Jackson's brother Michael in June.


On another marriage, she is coy. “I don’t know if I’ll get married again,” she told Harper’s Bazaar magazine. “I’ll put it like this: If God wants me to, then I will. I’ve had people ask me out. I haven’t entertained any offers thus far, but I’m locking myself in my work right now."
