It never rains in California, ha! Torrential downpours hit a lot of the state and included in that was the Jennifer Aniston andVince Vaughn'sromantic holiday getaway at the Montage Resort and Spa in Laguna Beach, Calif.

JEN BEGINS 2006 WITH VINCE

Here in Hollywood, the rain had mostly cleared by 7:00pm on the West Coast.

According to the Star, the couple checked in to the beachfront resort on Christmas Day, as Mr. and Mrs. Smith.

Cute.

Recall Vince Vaughn starred in the film along with Jen-ex Brad Pitt and new lover Angelina Jolie.

Gossips have alleged it was Vince that was the person that finally told Jen that Brad and Angie were an ‘item.’

He also allegedly advised Brad to ‘go home to his wife’ during the filming of the movie, according to tabloid reports.

If that advice was actually given – Brad must have passed.

But 2006 brings all things new and that means Jennifer and Vince have a film titled ‘The Break Up’ scheduled for release, and a relationship that is either growing or in trouble, depending on the day.

Expect thousands of rumors before that film hits theaters that the pair are split, preggers or getting marriedin real life.

But for now- it appears they are happily holed up on the beach in California.
