Jennifer and Justin quit on New York move - back to Bel Air.

Jennifer Aniston has sold her New York apartments at a loss.

The 'Wanderlust' actress bought two apartments for an estimated $7.7 million last November, as she planned to move to the US East Coast to live with boyfriend Justin Theroux.

However, California wins out as she has now decided to stay in Los Angeles - and is set to move into an 8,500 square foot Bel Air estate with boyfriend Justin Theroux - and has sold her New York properties for $6.5 million.

A source told the New York Post newspaper: "She loved them, but her circumstances changed and the space was just wrong."

Jennifer's plan for the apartments was to combine them, knocking the penthouse through to the second space on the 17th floor below.

Listing broker Bruce Ehrmann said the penthouse has "one of the most beautiful terraces in the city, with unobstructed forever views."

Jennifer was born in Los Angeles, but grew up in New York, although she felt it had changed when she initially moved back at the end of last year.

She told an Australian radio show: "We tried New York. It was a little rough with the paparazzi. It didn't feel like the New York I grew up in and knew."

Although Jennifer lost money on her New York apartments, she paid $21 million for her new mansion in Beverley Hills, which was well under its $24 million listing price. She also sold her other Los Angeles home for $36 million.

She and Justin are renting a small house in the Hollywood Hills until their new home is completed.
