Jennifer Lopez and her new boyfriend Casper Smart bumped into J Lo's ex lover Diddy at the Golden Globe Awards 2013 and the meeting was described as awkward.

The former 'American Idol' judge and her boyfriend Casper Smart met her former lover Diddy at the Weinstein Golden Globes after-party on Sunday and while the trio remained cordial, onlookers revealed they all appeared uncomfortable.

A source told Hollyscoop: ''Jennifer and Casper had a somewhat awkward run-in with Diddy last night. It is the first time Jennifer has seen him in years and everyone was watching when they went up to say hello to him.

''They were cordial to each other but she didn't hug him. Casper shook Diddy's hand and it was very brief. She looked like she was trying to avoid the hello, but it was impossible.''

Jennifer, 43, has been dating Casper, 25, for just over a year and calls him her ''best friend''.

She said: ''He's fantastic; he's like my best friend. I can tell him everything, when I'm feeling down, when I'm feeling good. He gives moral support, endless love and support.''
