Adam and Victoria's Secret model Anne Vyalitsyna have split and as soon as she heard the news, US actress Jennifer Love Hewitt seemed to move in immediately and told talk show host Ellen DeGeneres she thought Adam was hot and added they would make a cute couple.

Now she is backtracking - a bit.

Jennifer says she didn't realize exposing her crush on Adam would turn into such a celebrity news story and says she now may tell the singer and NBC's "The Voice" judge she is sorry for the trouble.

According to SheKnows.Com, during a radio interview when she was asked if there was anything else she'd like to say to listeners, Jennifer replied:

"Absolutely nothing, except that everybody is talking about it and Adam Levine will probably never speak to me."

The Client List actress continued:

"I feel like I should write him an apology letter on Twitter or something just to say I’m so sorry… I wasn’t thinking that it was gonna turn into this whole thing and I feel bad."

But Adam is still smoking hot - right?

Oh, yea! Hewitt added:

"I was kind of hoping that he would say thanks for at least thinking that he’s hot. He is hot!"

Last week, Love-Hewitt created a buzz when during an appearance on 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show', the busty TV star hinted that she'd like to hook up with newly-single Levine.

"I'm just saying. Look, we would be cute," she said.
