Jessica Simpson's family was reportedly pushing her hard towards American Idol winner Carrie Underwood sweetie Tony Romo. Romo, the signal caller for the Dallas Cowboys, had also reportedly told Carrie that he might need a timeout for the football season. In other words - he wanted to cool their relationship for over half the year. That seems ridiculous on its face as what would he do if they were married? Perhaps that answer is coming.

Now it appears that Carrie may have other ideas. In Touch Weekly notes that though they’ve only been dating for about six months, Carrie may be thinking about marrying Romo.

The magazine reports: The former American Idol winner - who wore a Badgley Mischka dress at the Academy of County Music Awards in Las Vegas on May 15 - (the aforementioned coming out party) also tried on several of the designer’s wedding gowns at a private fitting in LA, says the insider.

"Carrie would love to marry Tony,” an insider tells the weekly entertainment magazine. “They’ve been talking about getting engaged and it’s probably going to be soon."
