Jillian Harris is the New Bachelorette and she says she is now ready for love and life after her appearance on the Bachelor with the confused and still much maligned Jason. After The Bachelor’s Jason Mesnick changed his mind and dumped Melissa Rycroft for Molly Malaney, many angry viewers said they’d never watch the reality romance franchise again.

"My guess is they’ll be the first people tuning in to The Bachelorette on May 18,” host Chris Harrison tells In Touch in an interview published by the magazine this week.


Why? Because of the Bachelorette herself, Jillian Harris, an interior designer who was third in the running for single dad Jason, but won fans’ hearts. “Jillian is a breath of fresh air,” says Chris.

“She has charm and personality, yet she’s vulnerable.” So there won’t be any chocking cameos? “There’s no return of Jason this season,” Chris laughs. “I think he’s a little camera shy right now!” There are five extra guys this season and Jillian will choose from a pool of 30 bachelors.
