Justin Bieber has a new X Tattoo, see the above photo from Twitter.

The new ink is on his left arm (that's a mirror image above) and it made the debut in London this week.

Biebs is trying to change his image a bit and an earlier report revealed the Canadian singer thinks he is on the "verge" of turning a musical "corner".

The 18-year-old singer is facing a challenging time as his career will have to go in a new direction now he is an adult, but production duo Da Internz - who worked with Justin on his latest album 'Believe Acoustic' - are convinced he has what it takes to become a credible adult artist.

Ernest 'Tuo' Clark said: "I think Justin is definitely on the verge of turning a corner. A lot of young acts have that problem transitioning from being a kid to an adult and kind of when they turn into an adult things fall off, but so far, I mean. Justin, the sky's the limit. He's one of the top pop dudes in the game."

Gas mask in London?

Bieber has taken London's nickname the Big Smoke literally - he was spotted in the U.K. capital wearing a bizarre gas mask on Monday.

The Baby hitmaker is in Britain for the U.K. leg of his world tour and he enjoyed a day out shopping in the city with his entourage.

But the singer baffled onlookers when he donned a creepy plastic and rubber gas mask, along with a leather suit and a baseball cap.

It's not the first time Bieber has been the man behind the mask - he donned a gold face covering last year, and tweeted fans to say, "i am the #masterofdisguise."
