Sorry Karina - maybe in a year?

DWTS pro Karina Smirnoff really wants Tim Tebow on Dancing with the Stars and lasty year's champ got a definite maybe from Tebow.

"All I want for my birthday is for Tim Tebow to dance on 'Dancing with the Stars," she said at her Las Vegas birthday bash last month.

"Tim is a very talented athlete, that was clear when we saw his performance this past season with Denver."

But - will he dance?

Cathy Beers cites an interview with Celebuzz, last season's winner, J.R. Martinez, who revealed he bumped into Tebow and quizzed him on his interest on DWTS.

“I actually did come across Tim Tebow, and we chatted about [Dancing With the Stars] for a second. I thought he’d do pretty well on the show!”

The Celebuzz item adds, "But does that mean Tim is actually up for the task? Not so fast, according to J.R."

“He said, ‘Maybe in a year’ … That’s pretty much what he said."
