Kate Gosselin is reportedly taking steps to renew her nursing license after her new TV show was put on hold. Since TLC dropped her estranged husband and business partner Jon from their reality show Jon & Kate Plus 8, he has taken steps to halt filming of their children, who are the stars of the family's reality story.

But Gosselin appears to be keeping her options open and has renewed her nursing license, according to reports. She paid a $45 fee for the licence and will have to complete 30 hours of continuing education in compliance with her state's regulations.


The trained midwife could earn a potential $70,000 a year in the state of Pennsylvania – much less than her former TV salary.

The pair are currently locked in a bitter and very public battle over finances. Last week, Gosselin took Jon to court, to recoup $180,000 from him in funds that she claims he withdrew from their joint marital account without her permission.
