TLC has axed Kate Plus 8, the show has now been canceled. Kate Gosselin earlier hinted the show was on the ropes when she visited the Today Show on NBC.

The network released a short statement, attempting to place a positive spin on the cancelation.

"TLC has decided not to renew another season of Kate + 8," the network said in a statement.

"By the end of this season, Kate + 8 will have hit the 150 episode mark (including Jon & Kate + 8); an exceptional milestone."

What's next for Kate?

She seemed to be fishing for another shot at reality TV love when she interviewed with NBC earlier this month.

The reality TV star said that although she does not meet many suitable men she is definitely ready to start dating again.

"I am definitely ready to start dating, there are a lot of obstacles for me and I hope to just bump into somebody," Gosselin said on the NBC Today Show.

"I tell my friend it would be great if she could go a round the country and find some suitable candidates because the odds of me just bumping into somebody are rare."

Is this the pitch for a date with Kate reality TV show.

She also said the kids want her to find love.

"I am ready to start dating though. The kids on a daily basis are begging me to get married again.

"They bring it up all the time. But I have to tell them 'I am not even dating anyone.'"
