The fabulous Katie Holmes reportedly is near a breakdown as her due date nears. And a report says it's not just the hormones and the nerves of giving birth for the first time. The problem is with the daddy-to-be.

A report from Life & Style weekly claims Tom Cruise's latest demands have Katie sobbing and reaching out to her mother.

In this week's edition the weekly will report that Tom recently told the fabulous Katie Holmes that he hired several midwives to help deliver her baby at his Beverly Hills home.

Her reported reaction - she broke down crying.

“It was news to her that she was going to have the baby at home,” an insider dishes to the tabloid. “Katie’s made no bones about the way she wants to give birth – in a hospital with pain medication handy. Tom knew this. She got very angry with him for thinking it was his place to make such a decision.”

Who can blame her?

With no one left to turn to, a sobbing Katie recently caller her mom, Kathleen, the report claims and she reassured Katie that she would always be loved and supported by her family and was welcome to come home to Toledo, Ohio to give birth.

“Her talk did a lot of good,” says the first insider.
