Is Katy Perry taking a hiatus away from her new boyfriend Rob Ackroyd?

A report has claimed that Perry is planning a three-month ''healing'' holiday.

The 'Part of Me' singer - whose divorce from ex-husband Russell Brand was finalized last weekend - wants to take a substantial time off work so she can finally get over her heartbreak.

A source said: ''Ever since Katy split from Russell in December, she's been saying she wants to get away from everything and truly heal her heart.

''Katy's said she wants to jet off to a place where she's never been. She's planning a three-month vacation with her brother David and one of her best pals. They've provisionally booked a trip to South America, starting off in Peru and doing the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu - something Katy's always wanted to do.''

Although she is currently dating Florence + The Machine guitarist Rob Ackroyd, she has said it's not serious and she is keen to have some fun while she's away.

The source added to heat magazine: ''Katy's realized that she can't date anyone so soon after her divorce. She wants to have fun. She's desperate to 'live it up'.''
