The chemistry is combustible whenever he guest-hosts alongside wife Kelly Ripa, but don’t expect Mark Consuelos to fill Regis Philbin’s shoes when the 76-year-old Live With Regis and Kelly host retires. “I’m just not that good,” Mark tells In Touch in an interview this week. he certainly doesn't appear to want to be a permanent Regis Philbin.

"I couldn’t sustain it day in and day out, and I don’t want to be the one responsible for taking that show off the air.” Mark and Kelly met when they co-starred on All My Children, but Mark says working together every day wouldn’t be good for their marriage — or Live.


"I'm really good at ticking her off!" he jokes. "Plus, the great thing about two people who don’t live together doing the show is that they have different points of view and things to talk about. I hope Regis stays for a long time!”

The magazine notes in the report that Kelly and Regis have co-hosted Live together since 2001. “She makes it look so easy,” Mark gushes about Kelly’s hosting.
