Kim Kardashian Has Psoriasis, But Didn't Have Plastic Surgery in Mexico
Kim Kardashian admitted last year on an episode of "Keeping up with the Kardashians" that she had psoriasis and the doctor noted it was often brought on by stress.
What she did not have - and has not had - is any plastic surgery procedure in Mexico.
Kardashian's sexy photo in a bikini is plastered on a billboard south of the border promoting a plastic surgeon, and she has her lawyers looking into it.
On her psoriasis diagnosis that was revealed earlier, Kardashian said on the show at the time, "People don't understand the pressure on me to look perfect," "When I gain a pound, it's in the headlines."
"Imagine what the tabloids would do to me if they saw all these spots?"
Catie Coman, director of communications for the National Psoriasis Foundation, empathized with the reality star.
"The population can often be very cruel because they think the disease is contagious or has to do with being dirty," said Coman, who noted that LeAnn Rimes also battled the condition.
"Celebrities with psoriasis are under intense pressure, and stress is a trigger for psoriasis."
ABC News notes in a report that most types of psoriasis go through cycles in which the condition flares up for a few weeks or months, then subsides for a period of time.
Did Kim get plastic surgery in Mexico?
Uh - no.
According to TMZ, she is on a billboard that seems to make that claim, though.
Dr. Victor Ramirez had Kim's pic plastered on a billboard in Mexicali -- a stones throw from the California border -- touting, "no arriesgue su belleza, ni su salud" [Don't risk your beauty or your health]."
Kim is getting her attorneys involved.
In the photo: Kim graciously posted this Instagram photo of herself topless during the wee hours of Tuesday morning.
She looks great!
