Kristen Wiig related to her 'Bridesmaids' character because she feels like she doesn't have a "normal" life.

In the comedy the actress-and-writer plays Annie - who struggles with her maid of honor duties in the run-up to her best friend's wedding - and says she knows how it feels to be the only one of her social group who seems to struggle with the notion of domesticated bliss.


She said: "I can relate to having those people in your life that you feel are moving on to this great, big, normal life and you’re like, 'What’s wrong with me?' "


The funnywoman – who was briefly married to actor Hayes Hargrove and is now dating filmmaker Brian Petsos – went on the explain that she feels like the odd one out because while her friends are settling into permanent homes and motherhood, she is constantly on the move because of her career.

She continued:

"Being an actor and going on auditions and having odd jobs, in my late 20s and early 30s, and then going back to my hometown and visiting people that have houses and babies and cars, I’m like, 'What’s wrong with me?' I can totally relate to that part of it."
