Kyla Ebbert is a 23-year old student that just needed to get from San Diego to Tucson on a Southwest Airlines flight. She went to the airport in a short white skirt and a thin white cleavage bearing top and was all set to hop aboard the short hour long flight until a male flight attendant stopped her and told her she was inappropriately dressed.

Her choice was to cover up or miss the flight. She covered up. She would later take her case to the media with her attorney and her mother and she wound up on the NBC Today show saying she was embarrassed by the whole ordeal. It made for great television.


It sounded as if she might be preparing a lawsuit, but instead the shrewd blonde Hooter's Waitress parlayed the scantily clad controversy into a photo shoot with Playboy where she bares all. She makes the list of the year in travel at USA Today where they point out how difficult it was, not only for those flying but also with gas prices for those driving as well. That story is here. Looking back, she may have been the sharpest traveler of the bunch.
