LeAnn Rimes out of her bikini and into rehab to deal with stress.

US country singer LeAnn Rimes has entered rehab for anxiety and stress.

The revelation comes on the heels of a bizarre recorded phone conversation where Rimes actually called a fan who followed her on Twitter, seemingly upset because the fan also supported Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Brandi Glanville.

Rimes was caught sleeping with Glanville's husband Eddie Cibrian by Us Weekly and two divorces and a marriage later, Rimes is married to Glanville's ex-husband and animosity continues between LeAnn and Brandi.

It all came to light in the recorded call (Celebitchy has details and the recording here) and now only a few days later, the singer entered into a 30-day in-patient facility to deal with "anxiety and stress" on Wednesday, the day after her 30th birthday, and she hopes is better able to deal with her problems on her return.

She said: "This is just a time for me to emotionally check out for a second and take care of myself and come back in 30 days as the best 30-year-old woman I can be."

"All the things in my life will be there when I get out, but you know what? I'm hoping they're not going to affect me as much. I'll have the tools to know how to deal with them."

Her representative Marcel Pariseau added privacy was not "expected" but would be "appreciated".

He told People.com: "LeAnn has voluntarily entered a 30 day in-patient treatment facility to cope with anxiety and stress.

"While there will be speculation regarding her treatment, she is simply there to learn and develop coping mechanisms. While privacy isn't expected, it's certainly appreciated."

However, she will be allowed to exit the facility to keep to her tour commitments on weekends.

Marcel added: "The facility has granted her permission to keep her weekend tour obligations as LeAnn doesn't want to disappoint her fans. She will report back after each weekend."
