Lindsay Lohan's father demanded a six-figure sum to reveal secretly recorded telephone calls between him and his ex-wife, Dina Lohan, it has been claimed. Michael Lohan is said to have approached several leading TV networks, saying they could use the tapes for $100,000. But they were put off by the high price he was seeking, sources say, and he was forced to give the tapes away to a celebrity website for free.

An insider revealed: "Michael initially asked for a large fee - six figures - for the tapes of Lindsay and Dina, but he didn't get any takers. "Radar Online also refused to pay for the tapes, so in the end, he agreed to a deal to release the recordings for no fee, but giving him the exposure he needs with a paid interview."


However, Michael, who says he is making the private conversations public in a bid to get troubled Lindsay into rehab, insists his six-figure demand for the tapes "was a complete lie." But when asked if he was paid for his interview, he said: "That's in the hands of my lawyers.

“They deal with that." He added: "I have more recordings which will further back up what I have said so far. I will release them. I will not stop until Lindsay goes to rehab.” Lindsay, 23, who has been in rehab several times, has hit out at her father’s intervention attempts in recent weeks.
