Mark Sanchez and the New York Jets had a miserable pre-season and hope to prove that exhibition football doesn't mean anything by posting a week one victory over division rival Buffalo Bills.

Sanchez got support from his celebrity girlfriend Eva Longoria prior to week one, according to the NY Post, the two spent the weekend together.

The pair cuddled together last Friday night before a Saturday date night at a Broadway production of "Rock of Ages" and later had a romantic dinner at Japanese hotspot Nobu in New York City, according to the report.

For the record, Gossip Cop reveals the official stance is that the pair are not dating, though they are skeptical of the denial.

More on Eva, though she looks great and still has a killer body, she says she is no fan of exercising.

The 37-year-old actress forces herself to work out early in the morning while she is still ''on autopilot'' as she can never find the motivation otherwise.

She said: ''I work out in the mornings when I get up. I have to do it then - if it's after 11am it just doesn't happen.

''I have to get it done while I'm still on autopilot because I hate exercising.

''I have a gym in my house and a personal trainer who comes over. I tried Pilates, but I couldn't deal with it.

''Dancing is also a great way to stay fit - I wish I could do that every day.''

Eva tries to watch what she eats but admits to a weakness for French fries.

She told LOOK magazine: ''I do have confidence in my self-image. It's all about food and exercise - I don't really eat a lot of carbs.

''I did two months recently without sugar too. And once you start paying attention, everything sees to contain it. It's like, 'Oh my god, even this banana is sugary.'

''[But] I do love French fries.''
