Twitter fights are all the rage and The Wanted's Max George and Zayn Malik of One Direction are in one as well.

The Wanted singer was having a heated exchange with his One Direction rival on twitter when Max suggested Zayn would not be so brave if he wasn't surrounded by his bodyguards.

Zayn appeared to insult The Wanted's vocal abilities saying: ''Let's not even star discussing vocal ability would love to chat gotta run though rehearsals (sic).''

Max replied warning Zayn to ''stay off the bud...it clearly makes you cranky'' but was unimpressed when Zayn tweeted back ''Alright Chlamydia boy ;) (sic).''

After jokingly writing: ''shut it or I'll take your dinner money (sic)'', things then appeared to get serious with Max issuing the challenge before telling Zayn to grow up.

He wrote: ''tell me you're problems without the 8 security in NYC..The only problem I have with you is the s**t banter. Grow up son (sic)''.

Zayn appeared to accept writing: ''I'd f***ing love to, see you in new York big man, ha u clown (sic).''

One Direction's Liam Payne has previously claimed The Wanted are ''two-faced'' because they are nice to their faces but slam them behind their backs.

He said: ''The only thing that's bad for me about them is actually they were really nice to our faces, but when it came to talking to the media they were really trashy about us.

''We'd never done anything wrong, we were just running around doing our thing. We'd never purposely talk trash about anyone and we still haven't said anything about them now.''
