Melissa Gilbert Has Gentle Rehearsal After Dancing with the Stars 2012 Injury
Melissa Gilbert has retuned to a "gentle practice" after her injury suffered on Dancing with the Stars this week (4-9-2012).
The actress was injured during her Paso Doble performance with partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy on Monday night's show.
Her head hit the floor.
After her performance she rushed to the hospital on a stretcher and later used Twitter for a health update.
"I'm alright," she wrote. "Mild concussion and whiplash. Very soon I will be safely home resting and being taken care of."
Back on the dance floor...
She's back and practicing, but taking it a little easy.
“Nobody puts Halfpint in the corner!” she tweeted to her actor friend Craig Bierko, referencing her character’s nickname from “Little House on the Prairie.”
Later, she tweeted that she was “very happy” to be back dancing with professional partner Maksim Chmerkovkiy.
ABC notes that even though Gilbert didn't attend the elimination show, was well enough to watch Tuesday night.
In response to Sherri Shepherd’s elimination, she tweeted that she was “truly stunned.”
She tweets, “If they can go any of us is fair game!” she added. “This makes my head hurt even more…”
