Miranda Lambert (pictured) has scored an engagement ring from fellow country music star Blake Shelton and they are getting ready for a wedding. Lambert has shown off her new diamond ring online using some social networking.

Country Weekly has the pic of the newly engaged couple and reveals that the singer used her Twitter account, and "Miranda posted a photo of her with Blake just after the proposal saying, "Well, Ol' Blake finally got a brain!!!...and, I didn't say no!!"


She shows off the ring in the newly posted photo. Miranda claimed that Shelton popped the question when the two were wandering in the woods nearby their Oklahoma home, reports People Magazine.

The report adds that Shelton first called Miranda's dad and after getting his blessings and permission he asked Miranda to marry him in a traditional gentleman manner.


What impressed her even more was the diamond and platinum ring which Shelton had bought for her as an engagement ring.

"I was so proud of him," says Lambert, 26. "We've been together five years, so he knew exactly what I wanted but it's so much more perfect than I could have picked out myself."
