Naomi Watts' brother Ben called her to break the news regarding the sudden death of her ex-boyfriend Heath Ledger. But, she already knew. "Naomi is just devastated," a close friend of the Watts family tells In Touch. "The whole family is overcome with sadness," the insider adds. "She was supposed to arrive in Park City, Utah today to promote her film Funny Games at Sundance, but she cancelled the trip."

The weekly magazine is also reporting that "Waitress" star Keri Russell stopped by Michelle Williams' Brooklyn home this afternoon. Michelle's mom, as well as her best friend, actress Busy Philipps, who also happens to be Heath's daughter Matilda's godmother, were inside. "It was very sweet," an eyewitness tells In Touch. "Keri walked up and handed a card to a police officer. She asked him to give it to Michelle's mom before walking away silently," the insider adds.


Heath dated some of Hollywood’s most beautiful stars (including Heather Graham and Naomi), but appeared to have settled down with actress Michelle Williams after she gave birth to their daughter, Matilda.

In 2005, he told the Boston Globe, "I'm Mr. Mom. I get [Michelle] granola and cook her an egg, I clean the dishes, and then I'm cooking lunch. Later, I go out to the market and get fresh produce for dinner. And I love it! I love my new job." The couple split in 2007 and Heath was soon seen back on the prowl at several New York hot spots. The 28-year-old was often described as romantic, and as Brokeback Mountain star Jake Gyllenhaal told People, "Heath wears his heart on his shoulder.”
