Extra movie notes...Actress Kate Beckinsale (pictured, left) is reportedly returning to the Underworld franchise for a fourth movie.

The 37-year-old star will take on the role of vampire Selene in the new movie after playing the part in the first movie as well as the sequel, Underworld: Evolution.

She did not star in the third movie, Underworld: Rise of the Lycans, but did narrate some parts of the film.


Deadline.com reports that the new film has been written by John Hlavin and a re-write was carried out by J.Michael Straczynski.

No director has yet been confirmed but filming is scheduled to begin in March.
