Artie Lange walked off the Howard Stern Show after an argument on air between him and his assistant of two years, Teddy. Apparently the debate had something to do with dealing with recent financial trouble, Artie Lange and his two-year assistant Teddy were spotted arguing in the hall, off air.

Howard Stern learned of the argument and told Teddy and Lange to come into the studio and talk about it on air. As the argument continued on the air, fury grew in Artie. The funnyman finally lost his temper and reports claim that he lunged at Teddy, ending up in a physical fight. After others broke up the fight, and separated the men, Artie said Teddy would be "dead" if he ever reaches him.


Well, Howard Stern decided to then express his feelings on the situation. An article from New York Newsday notes that shock jock Stern said he couldn't condone Lange's actions. The comedian, who has had a similar outburst on the air in the past, said he couldn't guarantee he can refrain from acting out in the future.

The paper notes that upon hearing that, Stern said he couldn't have Lange around with the potential of such actions looming. Artie then offered his resignation; Stern accepted, but told Lange to leave and cool off. Just before Lange left he told Stern: "I'm not a good person ... I gotta leave ... I love you."
