New Moon actress Kristen Stewart has called her co-star Taylor Lautner 'buff' in a new interview. The 19-year-old star plays the role of Bella Swan in the hit Twilight movies. Lautner, 17, considered quitting the movie but decided instead to get fit to reprise the role of Jacob Black.

Stewart said: "Taylor still playing Jacob was the coolest thing. It was under deliberation so I'm glad he did it. And he looked so buff! "I saw the steady progression from Twilight Taylor to New Moon Taylor - but if I hadn't, I don't think I'd have recognised him."


More movies...Director Steven Soderbergh has said he may consider retirement after he finishes his current projects. The 46-year-old star's credits include Erin Brockovich, Traffic and Ocean's Eleven and he said that he is 'winding down' as he feels 'it's time for a change'.

He told BBC Radio 4's The Film Programme: "I feel the need to recalibrate, just step away." One of his upcoming projects includes a 3D musical adaptation of Cleopatra, which will star Catherine Zeta Jones. He said: "I'll go away and come back with a different approach - or I won't."

His project Cleopatra is due for release in 2011 and he said it involves 'a great character, great story' and he hopes to use footage from the 1963 film starring Elizabeth Taylor. He added: "Any film-maker who has got any interest in the visual side of movies is interested in the idea of a musical because it's such a visual genre."
