Vampire actor Robert Pattinson said a girl once started stripping for him while he was signing autographs. The 23-year-old, who plays vampire Edward Cullen in new Twilight film New Moon, revealed on Ellen DeGeneres that he made an off-hand comment and the girl starting taking off her clothes.

He said: "You kind of get 10 seconds with each person and you never really say anything and I kind of got bored of saying, 'Hey, how are you doing?' "[A fan] said in her 10 seconds, 'What can I do to get your attention?' I was like um, just take your clothes off." He added: "She stood there and frantically started taking her clothes off and got dragged out of the room by security. I never felt more terrible."


More updates - Pattinson has also revealed he almost gave up acting. The Twilight star said he was so fed up with not getting any work he planned to try another career. But he persevered - and landed one of the biggest film roles in the world.

He said: "Literally, the day before I did this audition [for Twilight] I was going to quit acting, because I'd never got any jobs. "It's kind of incredible." And he said the only thing he regrets is having to get his teeth fixed after producers of the first vampire flick urged him to. The star, 23, added: "I had to change my teeth a little bit for the first movie and that's the only regret I have."
