NFL Cheerleaders Breast Cancer Awareness Support - Team's Dancers Wear Pink, Too
NFL Cheerleaders support breast cancer awareness just like the rest of the National Football League, they wear pink to bring attention to the cause.
The beautiful cheerleaders are on the sideline of most NFL teams and usually wear very skimpy outfits and cheer during the games and dance routines during time outs to provide entertainment for the fans in the stands.
October is officially breast cancer awareness month and the NFL goes all out in its support - including cheerleaders.
The league allows parts of the players and referees uniforms to be pink and cheerleaders have joined in the awareness program with pink cheerleaders uniforms.
Not all of the pink out works, though.
The NFL used pink penalty flags last week to indicate a penalty on the field by one of the players, however, that will stop going forward as it is too confusing.
According to the USA Today, "pink flags made their debut last October for one game – a Dolphins-Jets matchup at SunLife Stadium – after 11-year-old Dante Cano of Marlboro, N.J., suggested them in a letter to Commissioner Roger Goodell."
But last week, it was hard to notice the pink flags on the field as there was so many other pink items and the NFL has decided to end that practice.
Now the penalty flags will be returned to yellow.
But the rest of the pink will go on for the entire month of October.
