In what can only be described as an odd declaration Nicole Kidman has stated through her publicist that she never congratulated Tom Cruise or Katie Holmes on the birth of their new little baby Suri.

Nicole PR: No Congrats for TomKat

Uh-okay.

In a report from the UK, Kidman’s publicist Catherine Olin is reportedly fumng and declared, "Ms Kidman never issues statements about her personal life. I'm her publicist and I never released this statement."

She fumes, “I've been deluged with press queries on the back of this and I'm completely taken aback."

Goodness. Wit - isn't that whatPR folks are for?

The Australian beauty was quoted after the birth of the child as saying"

“I hope mother and baby are doing well” after hearing news of Suri’s birth earlier in the week.

The stick here may be that Tom was left out of the equation and many believed that was a nifty little back handed slap at Cruise.

Though - the best guess is Nicole indeed does wish that the fabulous Katie holmes and baby Suri are indeed fine.
