Lily Allen and her boyfriend Sam Cooper are to become parents, after the couple revealed to family and friends they are expecting their first child together.

The couple are said to have shared their good news after having a three-month scan recently. "It goes without saying we are both absolutely delighted,” the singer told The Sun.


The songstress has been dating Cooper, who runs a decorating firm, since July last year.

In recent months Allen has hinted she planned on taking a break from her chart- topping career, snapping up a country house and reputedly telling pals she was keen to settle down and have children.

In interviews Allen is said to have lovingly described Cooper as a "normal bloke,” and as "the love of my life".
